HOSTAPHAN® base polyester films for lidding applications

In some markets, aluminium foil free lidding materials are required for particular reasons. Solutions on the basis of HOSTAPHAN® offer the advantages of higher puncture resistance, increased initial tear resistance and safe metal detection. In combination with a PET cup, you can offer a mono-packaging which is easy to recycle.

HOSTAPHAN® WDW is used as an alternative lid for cups, pots and tubs with great success. We also offer PCR (Post Consumer Recyclate) Films for that application.

HOSTAPHAN® WDW – White polyester film for lids

Besides its good mechanical properties, this film features low transparency. Thus, it is well suited as lidding. HOSTAPHAN® WDW is approved for food contact both in the EU and the US.

Thickness range in µm: 12, 23, 36, 50, 55, 65

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

HOSTAPHAN® WDW M – White, metallised polyester film for lids

HOSTAPHAN® WDW M is a variant of our white lidding film, metallised on one side. It is used for particularly light sensitive products due to it significantly higher optical density.

HOSTAPHAN® WDS – White, heat sealable polyester film for lids

The heat sealable variant  is a white lidding film, that seals to itself and other polyester materials, for example A-PET and C-PET. The seal is a weld seal, not peelable. This film type is approved for food contact both in the EU and the US.

HOSTAPHAN® PCR WD3F - White polyester film with food approval for lids and labels

HOSTAPHAN® PCR WD3F is a white, glossy polyester film with 30% PCR content.

It is food approved and suitable for lidding and label applications.

HOSTAPHAN® PCR WD3F CSRE - Coated white film with food approval

HOSTAPHAN® PCR WD3F CSRE is a white acrylic coated film for better print and glue adhesion.

This film is suitable for applications with direct food contact and has a PCR content of 30%.
