Universal HOSTAPHAN^® polyester films

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a versatile plastic that is used in many areas of daily life. The biaxial orientation achieved by drawing in our manufacturing process improves many of the properties of the PET. The mechanical stability increases, as do the chemical stability and the barrier properties. The high glass temperature and melting point allow a wide range of applications. HOSTAPHAN^®boPET films are also good electrical insulators. The optical properties allow applications in displays and window applications.

A large area of application for HOSTAPHAN^® is food packaging. We offer a wide range of products which are completely antimony-free, thus ensuring that antimony cannot migrate into food.

HOSTAPHAN^® can be processed further in many ways, by printing, metallisation, lamination or the application of various coatings.

HOSTAPHAN^® RNK – Very glossy, transparent polyester film

Our universal HOSTAPHAN^® RNK is the film of choice, when you want to take advantage of the benefits of a biaxially oriented PET film. It has low haze, high gloss and is very transparent.

The film is approved for food contact in the EU and US.

Thickness range in µm: 6 to 75

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

HOSTAPHAN^® RN – Glossy, transparent polyester film

HOSTAPHAN^® RN is a transparent film that is available in a wide range of thickness. The haze depends on the film thickness.

The film is approved for food contact in the EU and US.

Thickness range in µm: 6 to 500

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

HOSTAPHAN^® WN – Translucent white polyester film

HOSTAPHAN^® WN is a translucent white film that is suitable for electrical insulation applications, as well as others.

Thickness range in µm: 50, 100, 175, 190, 230, 250, 300, 350
