UV stable HOSTAPHAN® polyester films
UV radiation shortens the lifetime of many plastics. This limits their use in outdoor applications.
The UV stable “HOSTAPHAN® Protective Films” distinguish themselves through an extraordinary robustness. The high absorption of UV radiation by our stabilised films also protects products underneath our film.
Typical applications for UV stable HOSTAPHAN® polyester films:
- in-mould labeling, in mould decoration, labels
- fibre reinforced panels (GRP, GFK)
- truck bodies
- laminates for the insulation of outer building parts

HOSTAPHAN® RUVK – Universal UV stable polyester film
The standard product in our UV stable portfolio exhibits high transparency and a glossy surface. Its properties allow use in a wide range of applications.

HOSTAPHAN® RUHS is a transparent polyester film with two different surfaces. One side is heat sealable, the other is optimised for easy handling.

HOSTAPHAN® MUFK is a matte polyester film that offers improved burning behaviour in comparison to standard matte films, in addition to good weatherability. It fulfils the construction classes B1 and B2.

A matte surface and a hazy appearance characterise this sealable film type. The matte and the sealing layer are on opposite sides of the film.

Developed for the requirements of electrical insulation, HOSTAPHAN® WIN EHB offers extremely high UV stability and very good hydrolysis resistance. The film is chemically pre-treated for improved adhesion and is characterized by very high long-term heat resistance.
