White HOSTAPHAN® polyester films
White, biaxially oriented polyester films (boPET) can be found in many different areas and fulfil a wide range of requirements. Our white films cover a broad spectrum of opacities, whiteness and additional functionalities.
Typical applications for white HOSTAPHAN® polyester films:
- lids, such as for yoghurt
- labels
- pre-paid cards
- imaging, e.g. ink jet substrates
- high quality alternative to paper, e.g. blister backing
- insulation material (e.g. transformers, slot insulation, shunts)
HOSTAPHAN® WO – White, opaque polyester film
HOSTAPHAN® WO has high whiteness and low transparency. Due to its mechanical and dimensional stability, it is a versatile substrate for printing. This product is available over a wide thickness range.
Thickness range in µm: 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 190, 250, 350, 500
Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.
Technical data sheetHOSTAPHAN® WDW – White, glossy polyester film for lids
HOSTAPHAN® WDW has been optimised for applications in the packaging and lidding sector. The glossy white film is easy to process, provides brilliant printing results, has a high puncture resistance and is suitable for food contact.
Thickness range in µm: 12, 23, 36, 50, 55, 65
Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.
Technical data sheetHOSTAPHAN® WDS – White, heat-sealable polyester film for lids
HOSTAPHAN® WDS is a white lidding film equipped with a heat seal layer. The film seals to itself and to other polyesters, such as A-PET and C-PET. The seal is not peelable. This film is approved for food contact in the EU and the US.
Thickness range in µm: 65
Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

Our white HOSTAPHAN® WHS film is heat sealable on one side and approved for food contact.

HOSTAPHAN® WN is a translucent white film that is particularly suitable for electrical insulation. Its high breakdown voltage and resistivity make the film an ideal insulator.

Technical data sheetHOSTAPHAN® WUV – White, UV stable polyester film
White, glossy HOSTAPHAN® WUV has high mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Low light transmittance, particularly in the UV range from 200–390 nm, is another feature of this film.
Thickness range in µm: 23, 36, 50, 65

HOSTAPHAN® UVO is an opaque white film that has been especially stabilized against UV degradation.

Technical data sheetHOSTAPHAN® WUF – White, flame retarded and UV stable polyester film
HOSTAPHAN® WUF is a white film with low light transmittance. Its burning behaviour has been reduced in comparison to standard white films.
