Heat sealable HOSTAPHAN^® polyester films

In contrast to many polyolefins, standard boPET films are not heat sealable. Though our co-extrusion technology, we can apply a sealable material to the film surface.
Our heat sealable HOSTAPHAN^® seal to each other and to other polyester materials, for example A-PET and C-PET. They do not seal to polyolefins and are not peelable.

Besides our permanently sealing films, we also offer peelable HOSTAPHAN^® films.

HOSTAPHAN^® RHS – Transparent, heat-sealable polyester film

This transparent, brilliant film carries a heat seal layer on one side and has excellent performance.

HOSTAPHAN^® RHS is approved for food contact in the EU and the US.

Thickness range in µm: 12, 15, 20, 25, 30

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

HOSTAPHAN^® RHST – Transparent, heat sealable film for roasting and cooking bags and lids

HOSTAPHAN^® RHST was developed as dual ovenable film. It is particularly heat stable and can be used in the microwave or conventional oven for up to 120 minutes at 220° C. The film is antimony free and thus there is no danger of antimony being transferred to foods at high temperature.

HOSTAPHAN^® RHST is approved for food contact in the EU and the US.

HOSTAPHAN^® RMST – Transparent, heat-sealable and temperature stable Polyesterfilm for roasting and cooking bags and lids

HOSTAPHAN® RMST is a thermally stabilised, transparent polyester film which is heat-seal coated on one side to seal to polyester. Their low coefficient of friction on the sealing side avoids unwanted blocking of the film surfaces. The film is especially suitable for use on FFS machines for the production of flow packs and ready meals.

HOSTAPHAN® RMST is approved for food contact according to EU and FDA regulations.

HOSTAPHAN^® RWS AF – Transparent, heat-sealable polyester film with antifog coating

HOSTAPHAN^® RWS AF is a heat-sealable, transparent polyester film with a 1-side anti-fog coating and high clarity. The film is used to seal APET or RPET trays for fresh produce or meat. The seal is excellent and poof but not peelable.

This type of film is approved for food contact according to EU regulations.

Thickness range in µm: 25, 30, 40

HOSTAPHAN^® RSVI – Transparent polyester film that seals to PVC

This transparent, brilliant film can be heat sealed to PVC.

Thickness range in µm: 15, 25

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.

HOSTAPHAN^® RUHS – Transparent, UV stable, heat-sealable polyester film

HOSTAPHAN^® RUHS is a UV stable, transparent polyester film with two different surfaces. One side is heat-sealable, while the other is optimised for excellent winding performance. This film is approved for food contact in the EU.

Thickness range in µm: 20, 30

HOSTAPHAN^® MHS – The matte, heat-sealable polyester film

This film grade is the matte variant of our heat-sealable polyester film HOSTAPHAN^® RHS. HOSTAPHAN^® MHS is approved for food contact in the EU and the US.

Thickness range in µm: 15

HOSTAPHAN^® WHS – White, heat-sealable polyester film

Our white HOSTAPHAN^® WHS is heat-sealable on one side and approved for food contact in the EU and the US.

Thickness range in µm: 18, 25

HOSTAPHAN^® WDS – White, heat sealable polyester film for lids

HOSTAPHAN^® WDS is a white lidding film equipped with a heat-sealable layer. This film is approved for food contact in the EU and the US.

Thickness range in µm: 65

Available with chemical pre-treatment for adhesion promotion.
