HOSTAPHAN™ polyester films for lidding applications

Lids for products such as yoghurt are designed to protect against external influences. They provide a high barrier against light, oxygen and water vapour to prevent the oxidation of fat, among other things. The lid must be easily removable from the container without tearing. In addition, it acts as an information carrier and should therefore be easy to print on.

As an alternative to aluminium lids, boPET solutions made of HOSTAPHAN™ have established themselves on the market. These lidding films offer a clear print image, good mechanical properties and high puncture resistance. They also make metal detection of the filled goods easier to carry out.
