Laminating refers to the joining of several web-like materials using adhesive to form a high-performance composite. Different material properties can be combined in a targeted manner – such as gloss, barrier properties and mechanical stability.
Polyester films are often used in duplex or triplex structures (e.g. PE/PET or paper/PET) to optimise these properties. Such composites are used in food packaging as well as in industrial areas such as furniture production.
