For more than 20 years Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. has been producing transparent high gas barrier films under the trade name TECHBARRIER™. Initally TECHBARRIER™ was used as a high barrier film for packaging applications, recently also as high barrier film for PV – (Photovoltaic) back-sheets.
PV-Modules and display-applications, like OPV, electronic paper or OLED require an even higher barrier then the one TECHBARRIER™ can provide. Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. has therefore developed a new high barrier film with a significantly higher gas barrier.
